New reports suggest that iOS devices will get a major UI redesign with iOS 13
We have been seeing the same design since iOS 7 and it’s been 5 years since then we are using the same UI besides Homescreen..Apple might finally decide to change it with iOS 13. As apple mentioned in WWDC 2018 event, iOS 12 focused more on performance and stability. So this might be the time to change the look and feel of iOS.
Apple might give awesome depth effect to many UI of the iOS 13. What is Skeuomorphism? Skeuomorphism is a term most often used in graphical user interface design to describe interface objects that mimic their real-world counterparts in how they appear and/or how the user can interact with them. To be simple, have you ever noticed an animation when you tilt or move your iPhone in Apple pay app?
The card gives us a cool effect when moving the iPhone. That is Skeuomorphism. This feature was present before in iOS 6 in volume buttons but Apple has removed it. But in iOS 13 Apple might include this awesome feature.
Apple also mentioned that it is going to launch cross-platform integration but the project has been pushed to 2019. Apples two platforms have two different frameworks and they are Appkit for MacOS and UI kit for iOS.Both of these framework shares similar functionality and features but to bridge the gap between iOS device and MacOS device, Apple is essentially creating an API that helps developers to port their iOS apps to Mac. This didn’t happen in the year 2018 so it will happen this year.iOS 12.2 might get it but it will be clearer if iOS 13 gets it.
Other minor changes that might come
